This was the first Gold Eagle book that didn't have Mack or Stony Man in it that I was interested in. Like the Executioner's books, the writting style was almost identical but it felt more like someone in law eforcement was the writter and not a pulp novelist. The detail was well thought out and I think it really shows how difficult police work is. When Mack Bolan shoots a creep, everyone says good job he deserved it and that's that. When a member of the stakeout squad does it, they have to follow a serious set of rules otherwise they could get in as much trouble as the perps. You feel for these people and the stress that they are under. I cannot wait to read the other two books.

Here is a book that touches on reality in a great way. Bolan AND Carl Lyons in the same book: WOW!! I loved the fact that they go up against MS13, a real street gang that is more terrifying and more menacing than any fictional villain ever produced. Great Job.

This book was like the three bears: it wasn't too hot, wasn't too cold, it was just right. Here is why. The story started out a little slow with but it set the scene by establishing the creepy villain that had that David Koresh/Jim Jones vibe. Another factor that made this book cool for me, was that it was Mack Bolan helping out a friend and not going off on an official mission to save the world. And finally, the best part of this tale was that it had two of my favorite supporting characters that we really have not seen for quite a while now: Johnny and Val. It's really nice to see Mike Newton show his respect for these stories by touching on their history with unforgettable characters. well done.

This was a great addition to the bolan universe courtesy of Doug and his magic. Here is a book that's got it all. Yakuza Gangsters and Mercenaries going up against and then teaming up with Bolan. An ancient and evil cult out to destroy everything in their path and even a goth chick that reminded me of the Suicide Girls website. This was a great story.

This is the greatest Stony Man story I have ever read!!!! Doug is one of the gods of the Bolan Universe because his writting style is so over the top with excitement that you just cannot put them down. Everybody on the team got their asses handed to them before they saved the day but the villains were what stole the show. Aguil was the creepiest, most disturbing, and most vile villain I have ever seen since Adonis and Dark. HE WEARS A CAPE MADE OF HUMAN SKIN WITH TATOOS ON THEM !!!!!!!!!!!! Don't give this book a ten give it one million!!!!

Here is a great story that is full of wonderful characters and incredible action. There are many parts to this book that are truly memorable. One favorite is when Gary makes an improvised weapon when he is without a gun. But my all time favorite scene is when Mack explains how good they all are. Great stuff.

Now THIS is a great Story. This one had all the right ingredients to make this a perfect ten. First off, I love Doug because he is one of the best writers. He is right up there with Mike Newton, Chuck Rogers and of course, Don Pendelton Himself. Secondly, this story is pure, classic Mack Bolan Action, War Against The Mafia Style. This was almost a back to basics books. The whole feel of the story was summed up in chapter 16, page 117: Grimaldi: "Your face just broke into the biggest smile for a moment." Bolan: Being hunted by the law and the underworld. A price on my head. An enemy whose tentacles are wrapped around the soul of a nation. It's just like old times, Jack." Just reading that line proved to me that some great things never ever change. Next up, the characters were all really great. Katz was cool as ice as always and even at sixty, he was the best the was at what he did. The interrogation of the perp by Calvin and Carl was absolutly classic. Jack was really kick ass and all of the guest stars were great too. Finally, the action was terrific that would make even the most jaded reader proud. This book is one of my favorites and I will fight you if you say differently.

Very nicely done. I thought that the book had some good characters and Kursk was my all time favorite with Talisman in second place. The book felt like a superbolan but too short. Some the action was a bit forced in some places and when that happens, it is never a good thing. However, the book is all right in my opinion.

This story was all right by mike newton's standards. Unfortunately it was way to short for there to be any real action in the book. The ending was a bit surprising. I have never read a villain that accepted his fate quite like that. A good entry that needs a little work.

This was a good book but there were a few areas of the story that were a little forced. The opening chapter was very long and drawn out but it was very gory. It felt like a cross between Black Hawk Down and Cannibal Holocaust, not that I had seen all of the last film. The Villain, Blackwell was very interesting. Here was a bad guy who was despotic, sadistic and chock full of demons. He had serious doubts about himself after the rape and he was still a true scum bag. The scene where Gary lost his lady friend was very touching. Good, but not great.

This was the perfect ending to the Tyranny Files. Once again Mike Newton delivers a great story and a tough story to put down. I was sorry to see Gellar and the girl get killed in the same chapter but was so happy to see the villain get what was coming to him at the end. All in all, a great ending to a great series of books.

I give this book an eight. Not too hot and not too cold. Just right. I always love the idea of Bolan meeting interesting characters in his stories, but Jack the Ripper?! Hell Yeah!! Even though it was only a plot set up by rogue SAS operatives, it was still a great Idea. Good Job

This was not one of Mike Newton's best books for a number of reasons. For Starters, it felt like it was ripping off the movie Eraser and not in a very good way. In terms of the characters there were good ones and there were bad ones but not many good ones. However there are some good points about the book itself. First off a book about Bolan killing Nazi's is always a good thing. Secondly I loved the idea of what I like to call "The Double Mint Nazi Twins." This was not as good as his three part SuperBolan story "The Tyranny Files," but it was a worthy effort.

This book was very so so. Not very good at the whole Secret Government storyline but still worth a read. There were some good shoot out moments, and the bit about Tom Clancy's "Clark" was good too, but at the same time, the whole storyline just didn't work out.

Another great read!! The bikers were true scumbags and made great villains. I thought that Able Team was really at its finest. I especially loved the fact that the residents of the island were real heroes in such a wild situation. Thanks a lot.

Very Nicely done. The story was well written and full of action. The idea of Nazis in Central America is very exciting and full of adventure. I thought that the scene where Lyons gets his arm broken by a flying rear view mirror was really cool. Keep it up!!!!

This was my first Phoenix Force novel and I thought that it was very well done. ANytime you see Nazi get killed is always a plus. The characters were shown all to their fullest potential. While McCarter, Manning and Encizo were good as always, my two favorite characters in this book, hands down, are Keio and Katz. These two are incredible. It just sucks that they were killed off in other stories, because they were definetly the most interesting. When I think of Keio I think of a six foot tall Bruce Lee and the fact Katz has a pistole in his fake hand just about makes him the coolest character of all time. Great Read!

This book met all of my expectations and hopes. However I was let down on a few areas. First off there wasn't enough writing on the vigilante killings and there were also too many short chapters. I did love the scene where Pol and Lyons are at the party. Now that was hilarious.

This is the best action I have ever read in my life!!!!!!!!!!!! The first chapter alone made me think I was reading a movie by Wes Craven or Eli Roth. Lyons is still the baddest mother of all time and this book just confirmed it but can we please find this man a woman to fall in love with and not get killed!?!?!

Nice pace in this book. I like the character of Gellar and also the way that Stuben would constantly freak out everytime that always reminded me of Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet. Can't wait to read the final book.

This was basically the Executioner as done by Eli Roth. I liked the description of the first victim and the gory details, but the plot was a little dull for my taste.

Finally, Mack starts to kick some Nazi Ass!!! I have always wanted to read a Bolan book where he takes on the most vile of villains of all time. Stuben is such a great bastard that I wished that he was real so that I could smash his nuts in. Very very enjoyable book and there is more where that came from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first Able Team book an I loved it. I always knew that Carl Lyons was badass but when he broke the handcuffs and beat down two guys immediately afterwards just proves that Carl is one bad Mutha!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!!! A "family" of killers. What will those zany writers think up next!?!?! Very enjoyable. It felt less like Mack Bolan and more liker Jack Bower of "24." I especially liked the banter between Blocker and his screwed up posse.

This Book Was Totally Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the definitive Bolan Book that deserves a 20 not a ten! This book was like "Kill Bill" times ten. It was also nice to see Al Weatherbee again as well as an impressive nightmare scene with the lovely april rose. How amazing is this story!!!!

A great story. I am giving it an 8 because it was too short and also because the action moved way too fast. Other than that, not bad.

This was a great follow-up to the first book. I always wondered where Carl Lyons, Pol and Gadgets came from. It sucks that most of the Death Squad died near the end but it really made for a great book.

This was a good book but not one of the best. I like how he killed the senator but the fight in the health club was all right.

Oh My God!!!!!! This was the best book I have ever read in my life!!!!!! While most of the Executioner books I have read are about the situations he is in, this was all about defining his point of view in a courtroom and it was so amazing to see something that was one part Bolan, one part In The Heat of the Night and one part Law and Order. Well Done
