Message to America May 26, 2000This one was a big letdown. I thought that with a Nuclear story line it would of been more action-packed. Had way too much character development. Would of been nice if they talked about the weapon more. Didn't make much sense for me. But the cover was cool though. -
Reprisal May 26, 2000It was pretty good. The bombing scene is the best. Also there was a tense moment between the stand off with the ATF. Not much offensive, but a pretty good story. -
Law of Last Resort May 26, 2000Superb cover. I always like a book a little more if the cover is excellent. The plot is good. Lot of jungle action. Mack's area of expertise. This one is cool because there's some sniping in the woods. -
Virtual Peril May 26, 2000This books is an exceptionally good one in the STony Man series. The plot is great. Something that gets the reader really wanting to read more. Good Book! -
Eye of the Ruby May 26, 2000Eye of the Ruby is a memorable one. Well first off Mack has to get some help from an old mob enemey of his who's lucky enough to live through is old war. Also there's a lot of high-tech weapons in this one. Like a laser that could take out a stealth plane. Also the setting towards the end is pretty good. -
Blood Star May 26, 2000I have to agree with Terry on this one. I didn't like the idea of hit list. The list was too long and just stalled. -
Asian Storm May 26, 2000I don't believe I haven't commented on this book. It was really good. I liked the character of the villian in this one. A unique wacko. It covers a lot of geography. I liked the ending when Phoenix killed the assasin who pretended to be someone else. Good part of recognition by McCarter I think. The cover is really good. The most accurate portrayal of Able Team. -
Flashback May 26, 2000Flashback was a good book, especially in realistic situations. But some parts were too complicated and lagging behind the story. Also this book had a good deal of Encizo because he's from there. -
Skylance May 26, 2000Skylance is special to me. It was the first book that I ever read affiliated with Mack Bolan. I picked it up at my local lucky store. The first time I read it, I was bored. But I decided to give it a second chance and it caught my attention at the middle part. Good description of the Skylance space vehicle. A good plot. I liked this one a lot. -
Bird of Prey May 26, 2000Here's one for your aviation enthusiast. Sorry if my spelling is a little off today. Anyways there's a lot of combat description in the air. There's also a little something with a SR-71. It was a little bit slow overall a pretty entertaining read, especially if your an aviation enthusiast. The only let down is that Jack didn't get to fly in a fighter jet and take some enemies down. Now that would add excitement to the title. -
The Perishing Game May 26, 2000This book had a lot of potential to become an enjoyable one. And it did. I liked the description of the virus' power and the precaution that the commandos had to take. What an eeiry thought if just a tear in a suit could kill you. I liked the ending. Whooh, that was a close call. Overall an enjoyable book. -
Sunflash May 26, 2000Just finished Sunflash. The plot was unique. The enemies in this one aren't the deadly serious killers that everyone expects. They are enviromental activists who are tricked to defending the enviroment using violence. Kind of weird huh? Well the plot gets better. This book is unlike the other ones because about half the book the commandos are on R&R. And you get a little glimpse into what the guys do when it's time to take a breather. Anyways I like this one because it has Schwarz and Bolan teaming up at the end. Those are my two favorite characters so this one is a title that I like a little bit more than the others. Also Able Team is in it a lot. -
Satan's Thrust May 26, 2000This is quite an intersting book. Although I found the part when they were talking about the technical descriptions of the nukes pretty boring. Also the part about Hal Brognola barred from the Oval Office is pretty interesting. The ending part of that side of the story is pretty funny but too bad it doesn't happen often. All-around a good read. -
Nuclear Nightmare May 26, 2000The title is a real attention grabber. I'm the kind of person who likes stories of Nuclear outbreak because the nuclear power frightens every one. The story kind of got complicated in the 200s. But overall an OK read. But it could of been better. The thing I like best about this book is the cover. I think that's the most accurate description and portrait of David McCarter. That's the most likely too. -
Deep Alert May 26, 2000Don't remember much from this book. But I do remember the scene where Grimaldi flew the Osprey and raised hell on the tanker. A pretty decent book. -
Strikepoint May 24, 2000I read this one during my backtracking. I missed Able on this one too. Would of been better with them. This is one of the weakest books in the Stony Man series. It didn't get going until page 200. I nearly put it down but decided to continue. A lot of loose ends on this one. But it is still a classic. -
Stony Man Doctrine May 23, 2000I was lucky enough to get my hands on an orginal copy in good condition. This was a great book. The only complaint that I can make is the preview on the back could of been more detailed and depicted a better summary. It didn't say anyting about the villian or the acutal objective itself. Other than that it's a good book. -
Thermal Strike May 21, 2000This one immediately started out explosive. Although it lags behind in scenes about the officer and his family it is more than made up in the scenes when Mack is chasing the terrorists around New York. This one has a climax ending. -
Renegade Force May 21, 2000This is a good SuperBolan i've read in a long time. It's about time they start cranking out more good books by Dan Schmidt. Schmidt does a great job of character building, Action, and has a very good story line. Also the cover is really well done. Pick it up at your local bookstore!! -
Rebels and Hostiles May 21, 2000Rebels and hostiles isn't my favorite book. It's one of the worst of the series. First off, the focus is too much on the FBI and not Mack. Most people who have been reading the Executioner series when it first started is use to him operating as a lone-wolf. I don't like it like that. There was too much on subjects that shouldn't have been detailed on. Like the part about foreign governments holding hands to destroy America is not true. It's only Colombia and China. The thing that I didn't like is that woman. She was just added to make the story a more interesting and that played a big part in the ending. I would include some more action with Able Team and Phoenix Force. This book should be written like Code of Bushido with background information on the villians and then the rest on Mack. I know the book can't always include Mack in every page, but that's what the readers want to read about. Also there wasn't much action in this book because Mack was undercover. Most of the action was by the miliatia against the government. There were only two or three battles that featured Mack. But as always, Mack was there and made it interseting. If anyone wants to talk about it or any other SuperBolan book just e-mail me. -
Rage for Justice May 21, 2000This one isn't one of the best. It took too much time on Mack going down his hit list. Usually that's good, but not in this instance. But the one good thing is the ending. Where the girl actually takes out the villian. This one is one of the more dramatic. -
Judgment in Stone May 21, 2000This one was typical. But it had some high points. Also the introduction of the plane crashing gizmo was pretty interesting. Doesn't that girl on the cover look familiar? She's appeared in a lot of the older Super Bolan covers. Good ending though. -
Terror Spin May 21, 2000This is another terrible book from the series. Although not as bad as Red Heat, but still pretty terrible. The plot is too typical and again there weren't many action scenes or scenes that are surprising. -
Code of Bushido May 21, 2000This is one of my personal favorites because it involved the deadliest villian Mack has faced. Also there's a lot of character building so prepare to give some time to the enemies. But the character building just helps the book lead to the explosive ending. Also this book has a special treat. It's the scene where Mack was about to blow a airplane out of the sky that had a crazy guy we all know. -
High Aggression May 21, 2000This books sounds like one of Mack's lone wolf missions. It had too much on the victim and the villian. Althought the setting was great, it got tiring after a while. But this one was unique because one, Jack crashed and Mack and Jack fought along side each other on the ground. -
Flames of Wrath May 21, 2000Flames of Wrath is a complicated book. They spend too much time explaining the process of Super Human Combustion (SHC). But it was a hard mission for Mack to pull off. -
Day of the Vulture May 21, 2000Day of the Vulture is a really good book. It's one of my personal favorites. It has something that I haven't read about yet in the series. At first Mack fights with the villian, but he escapes and only to appear years later. Mack has to chase this wealthy elusive villian althroughout the world. The settting is also great in this one. -
Red Heat May 21, 2000I have to agree with Gunslinger. This is one of the worst SuperBolan I've ever read. There aren't that many action scenes. And most of the story line is featured around the defect. I didn't like this one. Usually when you look at the pictures on the back you could relate to some scenes. But I couldn't even remember which scenes. -
Dead Center May 21, 2000Despite the good cover this book is a real lemon. If someone else wrote it, it would of been a real good and maybe even classic in the tales of Bolan. This book is like an extension of the earlier career of Mack where he fights the MOB. -
Jungle Law May 21, 2000This one is a fast paced book because it moves from different countries. But the plot was too typical for my taste. But there was the scene when the guys were pinned down and Mack had to make a daring move to save them. -
Precision Kill May 21, 2000This one starts out pretty typical but increasingly gets hotter. In precision kill Mack is tracking the Wizard. And eventually finds him. He also has to go through his many defenses. Like a SWAT robat with a four barrell machine gun that could fire up to 12000 rounds per minute. And it's not a typo it twelve thousand rounds per minute. He also has to dodge two trained killers. And he almost looses on this one. -
Showdown May 21, 2000This one is a pretty good one because it involved a villian from Mack's Nam days. Don't be discouraged by the cover it's an alright book. But the last couple of pages weren't that creative. -
Flight 741 May 21, 2000Once again I have to agree with Gunslinger. The hijacking part was good, but it the rest of the story caught me off guard. I didn't think that the hijacking part would end so quickly and last briefly. There was too much emphasis on the enemy and some parts were just too confusing. They should of done a classic espionage. First the terrorist take over. Then Mack enters the plane during mid-flight thanks to the help of his buddy, Jack. That would of been better. But overall an OK book. -
Resurrection Day May 21, 2000This one was exceptionally good. It didn't have a whole lot of Mack Bolan in this one, but there was one special scene that you don't see a whole lot. The part when Mack and Johnny meet face to face on the freeway was touching. That was the first time that I saw Mack actually showed some serious emotion and shed a tear. This was a exceptional one in the Super Bolan series. -
Terminal Velocity May 21, 2000Have to agree with Gunslinger. It got sort of disoriented during the middle parts. But built to a climax. -
Tough Justice May 20, 2000This one was alright. I didn't like the fact that there were moments when they desperately needed action. That just lost steam for the story. It started out great, but couldn't end it wonderfully. -
Jackal Hunt May 20, 2000Basically the only thing really exciting was the assasination attempt. That's the only thing that kept me intrigued until the end. Too many villians to keep track of. -
Tiger Stalk May 20, 2000Tiger Stalk is the best Bolan book ever! The cover of the book is the bomb!It shows Mack holding an M-16 rifle with a M203 40mm Grenade Launcher attached -
Warrior's Revenge May 20, 2000I really enjoyed reading about the pre-mafia history. Also the Rifleman was a good idea to keep people reading when some parts were boring. The ending was kind of a let down. No hand to hand. Just a simple shot. -
War Born May 20, 2000A little better than the others. There wasn't much emphasis on the importance of the Star Wars system if it fell into the wrong hands. Has a good plot, but could of been hurried allong. An ok read. -
Cold Judgment May 20, 2000A pretty good book despite my first thoughts. Although the book didn't have very many settings, it was still entertaining. One of Bolan's closest mission. You could really sense the pain when he was interrogated. Ouch. Slow at some points but really picked up when the ending started. Grimaldi to the rescue again. -
Vietnam Fallout May 20, 2000This one was a let down. It started out good and had the potential to become a really good one, but dropped it after the assasination. I think that the author of what to do next. The ending was terrible. All in all it could of been improved. -
Code of Dishonor May 17, 2000Started out good, but couldn't maintain it throughout. It got too -
The Fire Eaters May 17, 2000An entertaining book althroughout. I especially liked how he taught them about survival. -
Moscow Massacre May 17, 2000A great book. The final confrontation at the office was awesome. That was a close one. You'd never suspect the ending. A must read! -
The Trial May 17, 2000This one was quite interesting. I agree that it wasn't that action filled. Some more action scenes would of made it more interesting. It started to lose steam when all those people were testyfying, but immediately picked up when Mack took the stand. -
Dead Man Running May 17, 2000Good conclusions. He had to rattle DC to get the answers. The conclusions proves that Mack is still dangerous even without his gun. -
Day of Mourning May 17, 2000ooh. Finally got a copy of this thing and finished it fast. I was so fascinated. The story line sort of drifted off a little bit. In this book I also found that Bolan was "meaner" than usual. Overall a good read. -
Tuscany Terror May 17, 2000The book really grabs you from the beginning .There isn't much time wasted on developing the plotline. I like it when the action starts without any further adue. Good Book. -
Return to Vietnam May 17, 2000A decent book. Some parts were boring, but it was fun to read about "The Executioner" to revisit his "birthplace." -
The Iranian Hit May 17, 2000There was a lot of action, but some of it didn't make any sense. The book didn't have a very good plot foundation. I guessed that's because it's only 180 pages. But could of been better. -
Vegas Vendetta May 17, 2000Wasn't as good as some of the earlier books. Too bad Bolan and the Talifero brothers didn't have a showdown. But good introducion to Jack Grimaldi. -
Battle Mask May 17, 2000Great story. It took off where Death Squad ended. Good opening scene where Mack opens up with the M-60. I always enjoy reading the first 10 books because it gives me a sense of history. It's good to see the author still struggling with making a good background for the Executioner. Too bad for what happend to the surgeon though. -
War Against the Mafia May 11, 2000A great book. I was lucky enough to get an original copy. Gather all your resources and find this book. Great ending.
