Flashback

My first Mike Linaker in two years! The plot is quite simple and cookie cutter, but sitting in front of my caravan in the sun I found myself enjoying it. There is not a lot really to say about the story itself. Bolan's actual role is quite minor compared to the other two teams, and the list of characters in the story itself is quite large and sometimes confusing. I did like Bolan being identified at the end of the novel by the villain (something that happens all too rarely). So, not a spectacular novel, but definately something for the sun.

Struggled a bit with this one where the plot (which didn't grab me anyway) was so long in coming. I thought the teams were just running around in the first third of the title with no set objective in mind. It gets better when you know the plot with some quite good action scenes the standout which has been mentioned is Bolan's confrontation with the ringleaders at the end. Fair read here but I have read numerous titles by this author superior to this effort.

A decent entry into the series with a pretty straightforward plot that works well. The big three(Bolan, Able Team & Phoenix Force) were each given good parts to play in this story & were the good old gang that I remember. Decent action. Decent characterization. Overall decent story.

An enjoyable entry that was fast paced. Liked Bolan wiping out the conspirators in the finale.

Flashback was a good book, especially in realistic situations. But some parts were too complicated and lagging behind the story. Also this book had a good deal of Encizo because he's from there.
