High Aggression

I had no idea when I opened this book and started reading that it was going to be one of the best super Bolan titles I have ever read. The author’s first two Executioners, Fire Hammer, and Terror Intent, were just warm up acts. High Aggression is the big show. All 340 pages of this book are fantastic reading, and there is not one word of filler in it. The setting is mostly in the land of Tibet, but the action starts in Kazakhstan, and moves to Russia first. The captured satellite technology and it’s female operator are initially the focus of the mission. Terrific action to go with an interesting developing plot in both of these areas lead eventually in a gripping flight to the mountains of Tibet. Here the story makes a turn as survival in the harsh weather conditions of the mountains adds more substance to the story. Bolan is on the chase, with local allies, and Jack Grimaldi gets a starring role in this book here, and it is great reading. If you are a fan of Grimaldi, you need this book! The scenes with the crashed plane pilot and the woman are as intense as the chilling weather they must deal with. The old man guide and his son are another great addition to the novel. The various Chinese and Tibetan factions make for a good backstory to this adventure, and the ending sequences shift more toward Bolan taking out the main villain’s forces and encampments in the only way the Executioner can. Great stuff all around. This is a gem in the series, I can’t believe I had this book on my shelf since 1997 and just now got to reading it. Grab this one, it’s awesome.

Excellent read and right from the start and you will get into this one. Off we go and we are introduced to the leader of a group of Chinese mercs who are escourting a massive shipment of opium to an airfield and from a starting number of 38 odd their numbers have been halved and no one has even seen the wraith who is decimating their numbers. Well the numbers continue to fall and eventually there were none hmm guess who? Lots of action based in the Himalayan mountains which includes some excellent action scenes I especially liked how the first Hind was taken down. Jack is with the Big guy this time and excels as usual with quite a lot of solo stuff in the title which was good reading. Yep pace maintained to the end this is a fine read. Highly recommended.

I loved this book. The setting was a little different than the norm and the action was non-stop page turning fun. I really liked the start with Bolan stalking and making the bad guys go nuts with paranoia. Seeing Jack on his own was really fun and showed that he's more then just an ace pilot,he can kick ass when he has to. Read this book if you haven't already. Its loads of fun. This was a very pleasant surprise. From the first chapter, where a "Predator"-like wraith is stalking a group of Chinese mercs up to no good. It was Bolan, but they couldn't know that. The story was very crisp and moved right along, with Bolan in hostile territory, engaging the bad guys to try and retrieve vital satellite technology. The action scenes were better than expected, with an airbase assault that included Russian Hinds, to a Bolan blitz in an Abrahms M-1 tank, this was truly Mack at one of his one-man-army best.

I liked this one alot, but mostly the first half. I liked when mack was captured and escaped. I also liked the sattalight operater. It was interesting to see jack waste a few guys with a uzi.

This books sounds like one of Mack's lone wolf missions. It had too much on the victim and the villian. Althought the setting was great, it got tiring after a while. But this one was unique because one, Jack crashed and Mack and Jack fought along side each other on the ground.
