Chuck Rogers pull out all the stops in this slam bang all action all the time entry. As usual, Bolan is up against nearly impossible odds in a freedom fight on a small island in the Pacific. Thankfully with the help of Calvin James, some islanders and the usual battle tested skill he's shown time and again, Bolan (with some help from Chuck Rogers) pulls it off smashingly. The summer blockbuster didn't begin with Star Wars III, but right here.

Gotta admit, I'm a fan of Will Murray from his work on Doc Savage, so I was much interested in his take on this modern "pulp." Wasn't disappointed. Murray tackles Bolan with a vengeance. For a while, Bolan was becoming a bit bland, but this tale, with its smaller scale was a breath of fresh air. Finally Bolan gets to do something other than save the world. Of course, no Bolan would be complete without a showdown with the main villian and Murray has Bolan do it with style. Cool and calculating. One of my favourites and hope Murray will be back soon.
