Excellent book! Nice to see Bolan take the war to the Mafia. I felt that Pendleton did a great job setting this series up and he really pulls the reader in with the first several volumes. Great read! -
Really enjoyed this book. It was a great follow up to the first book. Nice to see the kinship between fellow soldiers and to see people having each other's back. I won't say more so as not to spoil the ending. Enjoy! -
War Against the Mafia July 1, 2018This is a classic! Love the book. It started me down the path of reading many of the other Executioner books. I haven't read them all but have read the first 40 and am working on the rest. Great book. I love the 60s/70s flavor of the book. In many ways they were simpler times. Good and evil were clearly defined compared to the present. Enjoy! -
Arizona Ambush June 30, 2018I really liked this book. It was set up nicely and I really enjoyed the character development. The Vietnam connection was interesting. I loved the big scene at the airport with the auto-mag at the end. Very exciting. Definitely worth the read! -
I enjoyed this book as I do with all of the series. I did feel that the enemy wasn't as defined as it could be. Also, the build-up to the final battle was good but the battle wasn't. It was way too short. -
Boston Blitz July 13, 2013I recently re-read this book. It is one that I enjoyed very much because it shows the human side of Bolan. In the first book "War against the Mafia" Bolan's human side is very apparent and it draws the reader close to the cause that he is fighting. The Boston Blitz is another reminder of the reason for the campaign against the Mafia and it brings it to life. I liked the treatment of the character Books. I thought the treatment of this character was well done. It showed a corrupted character and I felt put a more personal face on the mafia. There is a definite contrast between books and some of the other hired guns. The complexity of having a fragmented territory was well done and helped create the sense of chaos that added to the story line. I always enjoy the character "Leo Turrin" and felt that his involvement really adds to the storyline as well. Great book!
