A well-crafted tale making good use of the John Trent character. One of Fieldhouse's usual stellar action fests, the only real flaw here was the overly-convenient ending. After so much build-up, it would have been nice to have seen TRIO put up a better fight on their way to oblivion. Still, this is one worth tracking down. -
Kind of a cheesy cover, but the book itself is first-rate. I have a cousin who is a news correspondent working out of Bombay and so I know second-hand about what's going on over in India and the descriptions in SWORN ENEMIES really evoked a strong and accurate sense of place and character. Top-notch action scenes and superb plotting made this a bonaffide pageturner. I'd recommend this book to anybody who wants to see Bolan in peak form, not just kicking ass but also interacting with a great cast of secondary characters. Not just Kissinger and Grimaldi, but also the Indian intelligence guy, Nhajsib Wal, and the two main villians. Ten stars all the way. -
The knock-out cover drew my eye at a used book store and the book is every bit as awesome. Like some other reviewers, I thought there had already been too many books about attacks on the Farm, but Kasner did a good job breathing fresh life into the plot and orchesstrating all the subplots, especially the ones in Colombia. Great effort.
