There's no way this book is in the top 5 Executioners. It's no different for any of the other retreads of the same kinds of missions Mack usually has except that it gets more melodramatic and even preachy at times. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't read Bolans to hear about morals and other people concepts of right and wrong, I read them for action. Can't believe this book was rated #1.

The last of Gerald's great books. It's a great new perspective in Mack's world. Going up against evil humans while having to face an evil almost supernatural force of evil that's so great that it makes those humans seem insignificant. It almost seemed as though Mack wasn't going to get out of this one alive, but his skill and determination see him through (like always). Cool book!

An ending to the best trilogy of the entire Executioner line. I give it a 9 because of the rushed way all the characters had to be killed off (though that's no fault of the author's). Those Aerodeth choppers are pure killing machines, a perfect vehicle for Grimaldi. Can't understand why so many others didn't like it. I loved the whole trilogy.

I also have to give this book a 10 rating. True, it is a bit off the wall compared to other Executioner's, but that's the reason I liked it. It's rare that Mack gets a challenge to his skills and wits like he does in this series, and also that such and original storyline finds it's way to Gold Eagle. It's really a shame that Gerald won't be writing any more Bolan's, but the ones he did write are superb.

This book is just not like Kasner at all. It is full of grammatical and spelling errors, and it tries to make Phoenix Force appear to be the top jokesters of Stony Man (they're not. Pol and Gadgets are). Phoenix Force is pretty bland with their missions usually, and Freedom Watch tried to change that, but it just doesn't work.

It's good to get a writer that knows guns to write a Bolan book. And it's even better to get one that knows guns AND martial arts. I agree with Alice that John Trent would have made a better comrade for Mack instead of Lyons. Ironman just doesn't strike me as being a karate man, more like a Keep It Simple Stupid streetfighter. Overall a very good read.

Do the titles Iron Fist, Freedom Force, and UForce ring any bells to any other Bolan fans out there? How many different times does Mack have to discover evil government happenings at Area 51, or in the entire state of Nevada for that reason? Don't get me wrong, this was a pretty good book, but Iron Fist and Freedom Force were better. Gerald Montgomery was the man!

All hail Gerald Montgomery! This book was such huge and interesting change of pace for Mack. Nonstop furious action from front to back. I had to finish it the day I started it. That's how good I thought it was. In my opinion, the COMCON Wars thing could (and should) be Mack's next Mile.

Sky Killers was not a very good book. As Eric pointed out, there are many mistakes throughout the book. Obviously Nick Pollota doesn't know too much about guns or military aircraft (or anything military for that matter). It's the details that can make or break a Bolan book as far as I'm concerned. The storyline was good, and the satelite thing was a good challenge for Stony Man. Also, the F-22 is NOT a prototype anymore. The Air Force has been using it for years.

Fare book. Not the best book i've read in the Executioner series.
