Robert Fuller

It took me a little while to get into this one, once there though, I enjoyed the ride. I found the wide range of various weapons systems and firearms very interesting and the action was good. The characters were well developed and I especially enjoyed the relationship between Khalid and Geren. I didn't find the villian quite as ominous in this one as I have in previous books written by Mr. Wojtowicz, and I was a bit turned around at the end with the conspiracy plot that didn't recieve an adequate explanation. It looked like the set up for a sequel. Over all though, I enjoyed the book.

I can only echo what's been said in previous reviews, and add my vote that this is an excellent book. Great plotting, great characterization and it's always good to see Mack show his human side. Like Glenn, I'm sorry that we weren't able see what would have been a very intense scene between Mack and Grimaldi over the death of Jack's girlfriend, but otherwise, I have no complaints at all.

I love this book! First, I took a perverse pleasure in seeing Lyons taken down. It's such a rare occurance that seeing that right off the bat you could tell you were in for a wild ride. Mack was impressive without being pretentious, the plot was cohesive and action packed, and the characters where colorful and interesting. My only complaint is that with villains this charismatic, it's difficult to be sure which side to root for.
