This was one of the first few Bolans I bought at a Salvation Army Surplus Store. Basically, a sweet-ass, Bond-like, sneaking and peaking, high speed chases, kick-ass book. Greatly recommended. -
Quite simpley, a great, fun, and somewhat educational book. Great for reference and just fun to skim through once in a while. Personally, I enjoyed it, but again, Doug had some strong points. But, go ahead and take a glace at it if you have the chance. -
Being the first book I read that got me instantly intrigued into the series... that gets 5 stars. I liked the fact that it was in Japan, and Japan is a country I've been into since I was a little kid... that's 3 stars. Doug's right, the main villain was pretty lame, and thoughts of You Only Live Twice came about quite often so it seemed kind of a ripoff of the Bond flick... minus two stars. But all in all it was an interesting and decent read... plus one star. -
Having read this book a year ago, I was utterly amazed. It gave me a good definition on who and what Mack the man really is. I HIGHLY recommend this book for newbie readers to the series. I give this book a 10 out of 10 because it is truly a masterpiece. Rock on, Mack. -
Book #918 () 9/10 January 2, 2003This is literally the best book I have ever read. There's humor, romance, drama, and loads of unbelievable action you question if it is the truth. I gave it 10 stars because it had the writing I could relate to and understand exactly where he was coming from. Plus, it's educational. One of the many things I learned that I still use today is "you don't have to like it, you just have to do it". Demo Dick Marcinko ROCK THE FUCK ON!!!
