I did not even finish this one. The new shipment of books arrived and I shelved it. This book seemed to forget Bolan and add him in later on. I lost track of the players several times and had to re-read sections if I put the book down for a few days. I have no urge to pick this book up again . Not a good read at all. Just my opinion.

I was very confused by this book. It was not about the Executioner. It was a decent story about a large scale kidnapping with a few paragraphs that mentioned Bolan. I believe that the main character should be the main character. There were 4 and 5 chapters in a row that did not even mention Bolan. I was completely disappointed with this book from the cover art (I was under the impression that Bolan’s eyes were Ice Blue not faded green and what’s up with the olive drab shirt)to the story line it seemed awkward to read. There were so many inconsistencies that I could not keep up. Why did the terrorists use a dart gun on Bolan and no one else? Why would he turn his back on a stranger who was a “not tied up carrying a gun captive”? There were several more things that did not add up to me. Just my opinion.

This was a great one! Action from page one. Seems to me like a little more thought than usual was put in, and it shows. Running and gunning against high odds the way stony man should be! This one was a great read hard to put down. Just my opinion.

Just finished this one. I for one was let down. If you have not read the book stop reading this now. When Bolan loses his sight he allows himself to be tied to a stretcher? For a third of the book we read about his thoughts of being worthless and what would he do with his life? Even so far as fantasies about living in an apartment and memorizing where the furniture is. The whole time he can’t see could be spent training the group on the unfamiliar weapons they just got or some such. Bolan could do that blindfolded. I see time and time again where Bolan states, no sense worrying about what can't be changed. Or whats done is done lets move on. The whole dwelling on feelings and what could be or might happen seems completely out of character to me. And to be involved in a kidnapping seemed a little off to me too. He comes to the jungle to help his friend his friend says hey I’m fine, it’s what I want to do. Bolan joins with his group to drug him and take him away against his will? Seems hard to believe to me. I spent a good part of the book thinking that’s not what Bolan would do. Not a great read. Larry Just my opinion.

I was not happy with the writing of this book at all. The story line was excellent. The writer seemed to me to be just filling in space and not paying attention. IE there was a passage where Bolan was driving a Wrangler jeep he paid a child to watch it but there was no mention of taking his war bag inside the seedy motel. It was a convertable and he would never leave the bag in the open overnight and with kids around. Other little things were irksome too. Like comparing a shower to an old mans urine stream. Just plain odd. Just my humble opinion. Larry
