The premise for this book seemed pretty far-fetched and better suited to and Austin Powers movie ("Is that a piranha in your pants or are you just glad to see me") but Robbins did a good job of making it work without sacrificing too much by way of credibility. Would have liked better and dialogue and characterizations, but the action sequences were well thought out and choreographed. All in all a decent read.

Kasner really did his homework -- or maybe it was just excellent fabricating -- in filling out backstory on the blacksuits with the whole betrayal storyline. My only problem, as it always is with any battle scenes taking place at the Farm, is the lack of credibility. How many times can this place be attacked before the neighbors catch on (and never mind all the assumed tactical drills and flights from the airfield). Like others, I think these Stony Man books are overpopulated to the point where characters become indistinguishable at times and it gets difficult to follow so many parallel storylines. Maybe it's time for a DAY OF MOURNING house-cleaning where a handful of the regulars meet their maker and a new, smaller team emerges from the dust, made up of the survivors from Able Team and Phoenix Force.

I was surprised no one claimed credit for this book, as it was a good effort, especially in terms of trying to bend the usual format and cover some new turf. Nice handling in the way Bolan wormed his way into the serial killers' ranks without violating his personal code. This one would have been a ten for me if there'd been a little more credibility in the last quarter of the book.

Although there are some decent action sequences here, the characters and plotlines all seemed overly familiar. And I agree with others that the waste-dumping angle was more confusing than anything. Odom's done much better work, so this must have been an off time for him.
