I read this (actually the whole 3 series of Bureau 13, Doomsday Exam, and Full Moonster) when they were first released (late 80's or early 90's?), not the redeaux that you see covered above. The reprint added some items and really disjointed the story. The original books are very hard to find but IMHO much better. The ideas in these books are awesome. Sadly my original copies were lost in a flood so I had to get the redeax because they were easier to find. although in time I was able to replace the originals... (thank goodness) These are about a team that investigate the paranormal. great stories, great characters. I am impressed to see that Nick has done some Stony Man and SuperBolans, I look forward to adding them to my collection and I hope that they are as impressive as the Burea 13 series!

For as much as I liked this one, I was rather disappointed with the whole hijacking end of the book. I really felt let down that it resolved so abruptly. I loved the hunt for the Raven story after. The multiple Ravens was very intriguing! If the end of the flight was handled better, and we learned more about them stewards after the order was ended, i felt really hanging there, and thought finishing that off more should have been really important to the writer,,,

*disclaimer* I am rather new to Bolan, so my review may undoubtedly read different then everyone elses *disclaimer* As far as the story itself was concerned, I thought it was cool. I enjoyed the tale, found the characters to be colorful. Since I am not a long time fan I really didn't care that Katz died (sorry) as it has been the first novel I have read with him. I have decided to continue forward from here (to be more current) so it may be a while before I get to one with him. So I give this one a seven out of ten. Lots of action, and suspense, just as I would expect from an executioner novel.

This is the first book by Doug that I have read. I look forward to more. I loved the characters, was even hoping to see some in some follow-up work, but I guess that isn't very likely to happen. all in all I give it an 8. Not the best, but still very very good. Highly entertaining.
