Liked it yet same time disliked it. Disliked mainly the villain characters (Elemets of Death)that seemed to have dropped straight out of comic book. Story was interesting and action were solid but "Elements" sort of soured the whole deal so best I can rate this is 7. Other minor aspect in story that bothered me duiring reading of this story was that there were too much reference of peoples being send to hell or Bolan being some sort incarnation/manifestation of death. IMO this would have been much better if villains of story have been more mundane and I do not think it is meaningful to reader of these stories if some literal villain goes to hell or not or even if there is such place as hell.

Decent book with good characters and not so highflying plot. Actions scenes were well paced. Some what unrealistic in fact that university dissidents taking on Pakistani regulars with superior numbers. Some how I get feeling from the story that it had originally intendet to take place in Iran (from names and such...) but for some reason was changed to take place in Pakistan.

Solid story in every sense. It was good to see good dose of Sgt. Mercy in action. Minor characters as whole were most realistic so far in series of D.P.W books. I personally did not find it difficult to keep track who was who in this story since it was the good vs. the bad vs. the insane situation. Boz Arcuri was excellent villain and I hope that we will see more like of him. On negative side maybe there were one too many sommersault in fight before the final showdown between Bolan and Jandarma captain. Excellent read.

Quite average story of its time. Some strange aspects in it though like Bolan gets angery over fact that there is not death penalty use in Europe. All so I failed to see real connection between plot in story and to events in to which story was dedcated to.

Since I´m rather picky regarding Stonyman line I was glad that I read this one. As all ways with mr Rogers villains were top notch even ones appearing only at very begining. PF kicked some serious ass underwater and elsewhere while Able took some beating. I thought this on be niner but brief appearance of Mack Bolan is worth of extrapoint.

Well written book. How ever it had similar flaw to previous Renauld books it is too diverse. Too much stuff, we get displayed in array of what is wrong with chinese: blackmarket centrifuges, triads, whiteslavery, crooked hyper capitalists. In anotherhand too little about what Mack is doing. Usually I´m not counting kills by Bolan but in this one they are scarce. End fight with wrestler was quite good though.

I liked this very much down to earth Bolan adveture. No über-villains or mad jihadist this time. Main advesaries were quite beliavable. Role camouflage scenes are all ways good thing. Ending was in my opinion fitting to story. There are only two action scenes involving Bolan but that does not really matter to fact this quality reading.

Interesting conspiracy in this one. Main adversary Braden regardless of the hype was push over and too many useless villains killing each other up: Taskforce Talon, SCTF, Brazilian deathsquads, Paragayan neo-nazis, terrorist, rogue CIA assasin, Kurds, renegades of Turkish army. Ending was rather absurd. It is quite well written though.

Great story yet it was difficult finis it. Ending was propably best part of the story. Negative things that comes to my mind are: maybe too many factions fighting against each other removes focus from Bolan (even thought he is portrayed well as allways in Dough´s stories) and secondly in story set in Japan I did not got feeling that it really happened in Japan (It could have been generic walley in Bulgaria perhaps). Action was on the spot. Honey & Machida were beliavable, Hogan may be little too "bullet like" and Zakoji as main villain were over shadowed by everything else. Past life episode in prologue some how reminds me of Destroyer series but thats just coincidental. So in my scale of 4-10 I give it 8. Solid work.

May be bit unconventional executioner story but it rocked and rocked hard. Here some reasons why: rolecamoflage with new twist, el juramentado loons, pirates, the two wifes of Makeem Boulus (son of Samir Boulus), chosen men, Ming Jingrong, Seven tribursting technique. Excellent villains and Excellent in everything elso. Thank you Mr Rogers.

A picture of perfect. All things in right place and in right amounts. Sometimes Dougs book remind me of certain films that I have watched this one reminded me of snatch and crimson rivers 2. Snatch bechose of location (London) and pikeys (great villains really) and crimson rivers 2 for cape clad villain wearing bodyarmor and finale in maginotline. Simply great story.

Decent entry to series but I think it could have been even better whitout certain elements in it: Every random vehicle acuired by Bolan & Co. happens to be old american classic. Some where in books were stated that warrior could not count on strikes of luck but there were nothing but strokes luck regarding Bolan meeting right persons at right time. Main villains were good but jet they remained underused. Chase of Sobor and rest of the story were allmost to separate story since nothing really linked Sobor to WMD:s in Djibouti. Message of prologue was that torture and execution of prisoners is ok. Action good and supporting charcters were also good.

Great entry to series. I have allways liked Mob as villains and french mob is even better. Action scenes was spot on perfect. Great villains and great plot. Bolan took quite bit punishment (again) in this entry. May be I miss read something but I was left unsure what happened to Big Damage. I know that he should have died in the sub but that was not confirmed in the end. So...

Yet again solid work and highly entertaining book. Again amazingly good villains and side charcters. I have liked Kowalski from first time he was introduced. He brings new perspective to stories as some one who is learning his trade in Stonyman. Adonis and Dark and rest of Ring were perhaps bit too much comicbook villains for my liking. Powerful villains regardless. I was quite impressed that it took combined force Pol, Gadgets and Kowalski to bring Adonis down.

First part of this book was excellent, Bolan is hard pressed to stop multible waves of terror. Then story chages Barb got abducted and we got mini story involving heists of two banks of Islam. Alpha deep six were really Evil villains yet they were little match for Mack. So I was bit disappointed that: 1 too little action involvin Mack and 2 final showdown was anticlimatic.

Solid work and enjoyable reading experience with fresh set of villains and interesting supporting characters. I particulary liked scene involving U.S troops under siege of taliban henchmen of abrahams dagger and Bolan and company rushing to their aid.

Scarcely a executioner novel. Minor charcters seems to be more well rounded than Mack. Great us of London. Villains seemed to low level uninteresting scum. All most non actions. Story was well written but main character could have been any body (Nick Cartet, Malko Linge or who ever). I just did not get Executioner feeling from this book.

Recently read translated verision of this (have not been able to locate original yet) It still rocked. Scene where Scarpatta and Ignanni are stopped by executioner welt incredibly real in all aspects.

Now that I have my second copy and re-read it, the thing that bothered me after first reading have to be the contrast between belivablity and lifelikeness of minor charcters to that how sick bastard their leader was. presentation of almost real charcters and clearly charcter of fictional story excicting in same contects. This still is great entry for series.

Nineish I have to say. I liked the way Bolan acted in this one. Tactic used in Iraq to gain information on POWs were classical Mafia war tactics and being able to reduce rebuplican guard general to tears. Some stuff on otherhand did not make much sense. I would not find a salt water to be soothing if I had burned wounds on my body. Iraq as background for story worked were well but unfortunatly it takes Mack half of story to get there.

Liked this book a lot... and so did my dog... Darn animal eat my copy when I was finished with... well it has good taste. Good characters even minor villains were believable human beings and story had very powerful main villain. Never thought Mack Bolan would look like Race Bannon but come to think of it... There was some thing that kept bugging me when I finished this but I can quite but out what it was so give it NINE points.

This entry had as much appeal as savoury fruitsalad. It had everything that is wrong about red chinese fitted under one covers even begining from boxer rebellion. It had quite good first part but it just keep getting just more sillier when it progressed... Chinese soldier armed with bow and arrow ??? Bayonet torturde performed by Bolan ??? Off the all hiding places in Tibet for hijacked plane URANIUM MINE ???

This story features REAL Mack Bolon. Ending for bad guy was much fitting. Body count was bit too high to be beliavable. Very good read all in all

Decent closure for the trilogy. Final showdown with main bad guy could have been more dramatic but it was decent as it was. I particulary liked plan B where Grimaldi crashed the plane.

Beside the fictional country realistic and belivable story. No über-villains or ridiculous high body count. All in all I liked this on very much

Very similar to some previous Mike Newton Books. Settings and villains changes but story remains more or less same than before. Shooting of Malay boat merchant was also bit strange. Again Bolan takes out bus loads of inferior goons from chapter to chapter. Story settings were quite interesting but action scenes some how repeated them selves over and over. Much better thought than 300.

In second book of this trilogy we have more action. What I liked quite lot about in this whole trilogy was that Mack was in communicating constantly with stonybase and adjusting his actions by information he recieved. Action in this whole trilogy is pretty smart.

Good start of an trilogy. Macks action scenes were solid stuff and without too much detailing. The other storylines were nice to read but some times throught this trilogy they did take attention away from Mack.

At beginig of this revie I have to state that I never was any great fan of PF but Katz was the most interesting character from that bunch so it is shame that this was opportunity lost. This could have been great storyline about struggle against evil spawned by greed and loss of comrade in arms but instead it was again drifting from location to location and shootting down goons that can not handle weapons they are armed with and in the end Katz dies in stupid shoot out with second rate goon. Katz was some what off his character. Palestinians as whole was pictured in not very favorable light in this entry. Wasim Jabbar was interesting villain pity that we never have change to read how he met his maker since he dies between storylines of this novel and Retaliation.

Tenner on my scale of highly entertaining read. No megalomanic plans for world dominaton nor destruction and no absurd über villain (even thought some times those are good thing in bolan novel). Knife action is allways nice and action on board hovercraft was sweet as well as very visual. Jaime Pancheo was good supporting character and he was one of those rare characters (beside most of the villains in whole series) that was not very handy with gun. Ending of book left feeling of justice being served and served well.

Quite average entry. Thing that bothered me personally was fact that only intresting villain Wasim Jabbar seemed to be killed in gap between Executioner 300 this book. He was not present in shoot out where Katz died and he had allready been killed at begin of this book. Also what the hell happened to palestinian attorney that captured Rebecca Mindel. I have never been any keen fan of Katz or PF but as I see Katz death would have deserved more forceful Retaliation. Not just hopping around globe and gunning down goons that all seemed to fumble with their guns. Island of Thyra was good and interesting choise for final showdown with trio of unintersting main baddies. Golfcart and Buggy chase in the end was just stupid. None of the main villains were confronted eye to eye. Shootting running men to back are not much of revenge for slain friend...

I must again give full scores to Mr Rogers for this book. I enjoyed this on even more than Savage Game. The axehandle action in middle of book was just great. I have to say that Bolan and Manning were bit unlucky in this story for ending up in place in Finland without any mobilephones. For fact there are 5 million citizens in Finland and more than 10 million active mobilephones in Finland. I also liked the fact that Bolan tried and evaded most of the useless shootout. The scene in Icelandic hunting lodge is quite memorable. There were some uneveness between story parts but it did not bother me much. If I have to nag about something then it is this very little of action actually takes place in arctic circle so cover of book is bit missleading also Finland and Iceland are not part of Scandinavian penisula Norway and Sweden are.

Very entertaining to read. Only thing bothering me personally a bit is that how many times ex-soviet scums can be used as credible villains. Huge Soviet missile underneath icesheet of Antarctica is excellent threath on book. It was also nice have reason for fast paced action since Mack is fighting against time as well as bad guys. slaying the main villain execution style was nice touch for couple of reason: Mack Bolan is the Executioner and secondly executions in Soviet Union were commited by similar way. Those renegade Soviets just sucks.

Decent work from Mr Avallone here. One of my favorites in the series. I have all ways liked the Bucher series for being so off the wall and so detailed at same time. Some my other favorite books in this series seem not be listed on this site...

Well... It had quite lot of action and very little sense in it. Composition of villains in this book is ridiculous. This one should not get high ratings on solely be chose John Trent is in it. Ninja blood is much better book which involves Trent. One special thing that annoyed me was that reader was constantly informed how deadly opponents Ninjas are, but when any member of the Phonix Force encountred one the ninjas they were disposed with ease.

Solid work and true classic. Takes Mack to whole new level. When I picked this on up hade read it from cover to cover on one sitting. I have now read it 4 times and it is still damn good.

Very Interesting book with good charcterisation. All so intresting backlot. I agree some similarities to Savage Game but in my opinion only minor similarities. Both books starts differently and endings are compleatly in different scale. Scorpions pose quite small threath to Mack when compared to Icemans bunch.
