Thus far my favorite in the series(that is of what I have read so far). I thought that the mafias plot was a forgone conclusion and that Pendleton did a pretty good job of making it believable. This one proves once and for all that Mack is a hero and a patriot. Great action sequences from beginning to end. I also loved the fact that Bolan was questioning himself as to whether this was a true enemy, or a military operation seeking to bring him to justice. In the end you have to wonder if his capture by the authorities would be justice. Luckily we don't have to find out in this book. -
Overall I thought that this was a great introduction to this series. The action sequences were outstanding and the characters were very well defined. The only complaint that I had was the sex. Don't get me wrong, I like it as much as the next guy, but I thought that it should,ve taken a back seat to the action. It just didn't fit the character in my opinion. An excellent read none the less. Way to go Don (RIP).
