Only a couple of things I can add that hasn't already been mentioned. I agree with most of the reviews, good and bad, and there aren't that many bad. I really liked the humor in this book, the guys seemed more real cracking jokes especially when things get tense. I also liked the tie in to Mack with both AT and PF. I deducted a star for the simple reasons of the cliff hangers got a little old, the mistake of the Colonel in the Navy and I would have liked to see a debrief with all at the end of the story. Overall a very enjoyable read. -
Been reading MB, PF, AT and SM for some time now and this books reminded me why I should be reading them in order. I was surprised to see a fourth member of AT, Lao Ti. Another major flaw was the author mixed up the physical descriptions of Pol and Gadgets, Gadets is the older one with the grey hair. And their were way too many outsiders invited into the secret lair of Stony Man, why doesn`t the whole world know about that place now is beyond me. Also using an unknown pilot instead of Grimaldi makes no sense to me. -
A decent read and decent plot line. One thing that would have made better for me though was since Mack was in the neighbourhood and he was having a few problems with his mission and keeping tabs on the girl, thenwhy didn't he use the services of his Able Team buddies. They were even mentioned as standing by waiting for her to call. -
Not a bad read but at times a little over the top. One mistake was the V/STOL 1041 as explained by the admiral has air to air and air to surface missles but no cannon or machine gun capabilities, then when Grimaldi shows up at the Aujila oasis camp he opens up with 50 caliber machine gun fire???? Would have liked it better if when Mack found Eve turned into a turkey and then turned into Mack the "killing machine" that it would have had a little more emotion and description, seemed to me like the author just wanted to end the story here. Still like it though as I enjoy all the Mack Bolan series.
