*Some spoilers This was a fantastic prequel to the first Executioner. There was incredible action throughout and some interesting villians. Character development was done very well throughout the book. I liked reading about the missions Bolan went on in Vietnam and the earlier exploits of his Death Squad. I liked the characters of Gunsmoke Harrington, Deadeye Washington, and Bloodbrother Loudelk almost as much as Bolan. The action throughout the book was amazing, and i liked the clever tactics Bolan used to defeat his enemies. Especially towards the end when Bolan and company made the two enemy forces attack each other and they slipped through a tunnel. I also liked how the entire story was a flashback while Bolan was attacking the same mansion his Death Squad attacked years ago. Exciting villians like Linh also made this book amazing. Overall a fantastic read.

This one was pretty good. Talmage was a very interesting villian I thought. I liked the full background of his character and everything. I almost felt for him and his misfortunes until what he decided to do with his life. All the action sequences through the book were okay, not of them were fascinating I thought. But a good story was able to amke up for it. I liked how Bolan shook up the triads by hitting some of their business places. The ending was kind of disappointing I thought. I was expecting some great finale, but it wasnt as tense as I think it could've been. Overall a good read.

This book was entirely from Bolan's perspective, which isn't bad, but I like it when the perspectives switch throughout the book. I like how Bolan accidently stumbled upon this whole plot. All the action sequences were very well done, especially the raid on the factory in California. I liked how this was a personal mission for Bolan because he had to save his missing comrade, Grimaldi. This is the first time I've seen Cowboy Kissinger out of the farm, and I liked how he actually got to shot some villians. The beginning and middle of the novel was very well written, but the ending seemed rushed. But still overall, it was an exciting read.

There isnt I can say about this book that hasnt already been said. First of all, what I believe is most important in a Bolan book, the action scenes were very well done, as Guenther has done before. THe novel is very fast paced and it did not take me long to read because I couldn't put it down. I really liked the plot too, it really got my attention and didnt let go. THe part where Bolan broke into the prison and did not find the man he was looking for and then had to fight his way out was very well done. I loved the finale where Grimaldi flew Bolan to like three different locations to kill lots of enemies. A great read. I also found the very last chapter with the funeral for his fallen comrade very touching.

This is the best Stony Man I have read by Nick Pollota so far. The whole plot seemed far-fetched, but it was still an enjoyable read. The beginning was really well written and quickly hooked me into the story, and it kept me hooked till the very end. The final fights for both teams were intense. Like the other review, I loved Carl Lyons attack on the HQ while double wielding shot guns and causing a massacre. Phoenix Force's attack on the island compound to stop the nuclear launch was also very well done, even though any reader would know that McCarter was going to survive that final shot he took. NO surprise there.

This one was all right. All the action sequences are described really nicely. I loved how Carl Lyons was his usual angry self and how Able Team broke every law to catch the bad guys. THis is the oldest Stony I have read, so it is the only one I read with Mack Bolan in it. His arc of the story was also very well done. Pheonix Forces part in the story seemed kind of weak. But the scene where Bolan and Pheonix Force cleans house after the air strike was very well done. I almost forgot Able Team was in the novel because it was all about them in the beginning of the book, then you don't hear about them again till the end. But, it was still a enjoyable book.

Contains spoilers This Stony Man was great. Able Team and Pheonix Force gets their butts kicked but still manage to save the day (of course). The action sequences were very well done and excitiing. I feel weird saying this, but it was nice to see things go wrong for both teams and result in injuries and agents missing. The story arc with the remaining healthy agents of both teams joining together and going to Mexico was really well done. Also, Calvin James one-man mission to try to save T.J. was very well done. Overall a good read.

Since I have just started reading the series, this is the best novel written by Mike Newton I have read. The other three(Rogue Warrior, Extreme Justice, Final Resort) have failed to impress me. This one had more action sequences and a higher body count than Final Resort, which really helped me keep my interest. I found the concept of a sanctuary for neo-nazis in Colombia very intriguing. The novel was suspenseful the whole way through, and the final confrontation between Bolan and the Colonia Victoria neo-nazis was fantastic. Hans Gunter Dietrich was a very interesting villian, even though its hard to believe a man of his age would still be that energetic. The tension between Hans Gunter Dietrich and his cohorts added to the story. Overall a good read.
