Allen Cochran

This was a good book. I enjoyed the off centered relationship between Emilio Vega and Victor Sampson. I thought Sampson using Vega's son, Juan, for an assassination attempt was an original idea. But, Emilio Vega was garbage and it was about time Mack took out the garbage. An Added plus to this book was having Blancanales and Lyons from Able Team assisting Mack on this mission. Although, I have to say even with Lyons heading in the protection of Ray Pitt, This part of the book dragged and took away from the rest of the book. I wanted to get back to the action with Mack. Lastly, (hopefully not for Mack) The red head, Madeline Glynn, got her taste of victory. This is one of those times you wish you had pictures. Mack is the man. And he conquered once more. Isn't that right Maddie?

I don't know what else can be said for this book than what has already been said. This is a 10 for Mack and for Doug's writing. I would probably agree this book does not belong in the top 5 of the list. But Doug gives the Mack series some blood in it's veins that has so long been lacking. And with that I hope others can follow suit and provide some renewed energy. Don Pendleton would be very proud. Although, The one thing this book did lack was a Gil Cohen cover. The characterisation was great. The action was supurb. And to top it off, Mack is real again with memories and ties to the past. A nice touch that I enjoyed and evidently everyone else did too. And again with everyone else, the editors attempted to screw up this book. But the writing is great and it shows.

This is a great read and a good conclusion to the series. I would have to recomend this series to any action reader. Mike Linaker has completed another great story. I was really enthralled by the emotions of the team in this book. The attention to the fact they had to wait to rescue Carl Lyons but only after completing another mission. Although, The mission was full of twist and turns that showed a little of Murphy's law. I enjoyed the fact that the mission DIDN'T go off flawlessly. I could sit and talk about a lot of circumstances to happened to the team from losing their contact in Korea, Hi-jacking an enemy Helicopter, or the attempt on Dr. Gilman. I am glad Mike Linaker did not forget the strong will of Carl Lyons in the book. You can't hold a good man down long, especially Carl.

Mike Linaker came write a great book. I have enjoyed his books and this is one of them. I was excited to see Carl Lyons infiltrate the Militia Men and be discovered. I was thrilled with Grimaldi and the new Dragon Slayer. In other books, there are areas that get slow but not for Mike he keeps the tension going. Even when discribing the Dragon Slayer by including taking Grimaldi hostage. I felt the tension when Stony Man farm was worried for Carl. Now I will run out and get the second book to Slingshot Project -"Rogue State". I have to know how the team gets Carl back. And it had a good cliffhanger ending to encourage everyone to read. I recommend to anyone looking to read the Stony Man books to pickup these books. This is a great series and a compliment to the power and momentum of the Stont Man teams.

This book was alot better than the other books in the trilogy. The tension in the books builds to a great conclusion on the Korean coastline. Mack was at his best in the last book. I hated the fact that the bum(ex-miltary man) that the organization recruited didn't provide a better impact on the story. We didn't get a better look at his potential as a military expertise.

The story builds upon itself. I liked the story. The track across america was fun. With all the fun and excitement it still has one or two dry spots.

This wasn't the best Bolan book. I love Pendleton's writing style. And I miss Gel Cohen's covers on the Executioner books. A sad ending to Don's run of the series. The book seemed rushed to the point of not the usual character development. I had the feeling as though, hurry up and finish this and get on to the new story arc.

This is prably my favorite so far of the Stony man books. I enjoyed the mix of action on the home front and africa backwoods then to Libya and Egypt. I was also excited by the vivid scenery of the african out back. I want to see more of the geologist, Lili Carlton. But I enjoyed seeing an old love enterest enter the picture. Not to mention an old enemy as well. A very good book. Loved it.

I liked this book. Although, I seen alot of literay errors. (even though I'm not a professional writer.) I enjoyed the mention of Mack and it's time line reference to the bolan books. I enjoyed massive action and the surprise injury/ I even enjoyed having able team on one end and phoenix force on the other. All the components of a good read. BUT, I was disappointed in the ending. I fealt a lack of conclusion on the part of the war even though it is a continueing battle for the holy land. I will most diffenently read again (someday).

I HAVE RECENTLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE STONY MAN SERIES AND WAS LOOKING FOR SOME OLD TITLES. THIS WAS CONSIDERED THE TOP OF THE LIST. A GOOD BOOK WITH GREAT ACTION BUT LACKING COMPARED TO THE RECENT STONY MAN BOOKS.

I REALLY ENJOYED THE RELATIONSHIP MACK SHARED WITH THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK. AND TO SEE HIM SO DEEP INTO THE ORGANIZATION AND WORK THE ANGLES TO KEEP ALIVE WAS GREAT. THAT ALL BUILT THE ACTION OF THIS BOOK. I STILL MISS THE GIL COHEN COVERS.

THIS IS THE BEST AND THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL. A CLASSIC AND I LOVE TO READ IT TIME AND AGAIN. MACK (MERCY) IS THE BEST.

This book is the lead into a trilogy of books. Also being a lead to a change in Mack's life on a personal and professional level. This book also shows what Mack's war has brought on his love ones and the affects of having someone close to him. We lose an added treasure with the love in Mack's life being killed by his professional career. Rose will then on be missed in the series and the twist she added to Mack's life. I hate thet she had to die. I had grown fond of her in the series. A must read for all Mack fans.

This is one of my favorite stories of Mack. The action is on a different level than what Mack is accustomed to but the action and inticipation is on a high. It pulls you in and keeps you reading to the twisted end. This book does not fall into the action you expect from Mack, But that is also a part of the charm of this book and the story it brings. A must read for any true Mack fan.
