News of this spectacular process sweeps across the world. Starving nations of India, Asia, Africa and South America literally ransom their treasuries to be given the formula for this key to survival. Ecologists and world leaders proclaim Fielding as a hero to mankind. All this adulation merely bugs the wily old man. He'll do as he pleases, when he damn well chooses to do so, and harvest the profits himself. Foreign agents attempt to steal the formula. Even the Mafia attempts to get into the picture. Naturally, CURE is soon involved. Is it really possible to feed the world at discount prices? Why would a millionaire delay the chance to make billions of dollars? Remo and Chiun discover a triple-cross so sinister that even they are impressed, and decide that the world is worth saving after all. For a bowl of boiled rice with a side order of raw bean sprouts to go.

This is one of the more mystery oriented Destroyer books I have read. Less action and more intrigue. But thats not a bad thing here--It works! You learn to hate the villian early on..but there's a twist...he's dying. An interesting note is that he keeps a digital clock with him....counting down the hours until he dies and therefore counting down how much time is left for him to complete his evil plan. So Remo giving him the old one-two isn't really an option here. The villian has a mindset that he'll take everyone with him and only Remo can stop him...but another twist...Remo takes his side! It's a good read full of plot twists and a lot of intrigue as I stated before. A lack of action keeps this one from earning a full 10 stars. A very nice read. You'll probably want to finish this one in one sitting. I'd say one of the top 20 or so best Destroyer books in all of the series.
