The strategic defense team of Stony Man - the President's ultimate secret weapon - faces a shadow enemy with international branches and a fearsome technology: the ability to blind the superpowers by jamming their spy satellites. The enemy hits big, then hits bigger - with strategically launched clashes in the Middle East that draw the U.S. into the fire. While Washington readies for war, Stony Man teams race to bring down an enemy covering his trail with assassin's bullets. As the team's technowizards work to identify and pinpoint the mastermind at Stony Man's home base in Virginia, the field warriors - Mack Bolan, Phoenix Force and Able Team- launch an international dragnet to corner a dangerous and desperate opponent capable of horrifying acts of destruction.

Well this one grabbed me at the start and I was thinking how good is this going to be BUT unfortunately it runs out of steam big time quickly. Generic storyline and unfortunately with this author too much overuse of the weapons being dropped by numb fingers. Finishes okay but predictable again, fair read this one only.

This story failed to hold my interest. We are treated to a senario in which the bad guys have control over an agressive concentrated radar, which can jam all radar in the target area, as well as render electronics useless. The enemy use this to provoke war between Iran and America, whilst the real coup, the overthrow of the governments of Libya, Iraq and Syria happens in the background. The villains are the usual mix of cardboard Arabs and ex KGB agents. America's only interest in this is to know who attacked US warships using the radar. The first conflict, an engagement between Iran and Armenia is of little interest. Stony Man, within no time, work out that this can ONLY be done using A.C.R. So the teams are sent into action to find out who could be behind this. There follows the usual run around senario of shooting and using truth serum before Phoenix Force and Bolan finally destroy the enemy base. All in all this was a very average and unexciting story.

A great, action-packed book, with a decent plot.
