Rain of Doom

Well whoo/hee at last Able Team starts taking some of the characters out permanantly in this series of titles. ************ SPOILER ************ Ayat, Dastgerdi, Suvorov and that bitch Canadian Desmarais bite the dust in this title AT LAST !! The way the bitch bites the dust after what she has been forced to do by the Iranian and Syrian is good stuff. The Gadgets slipping in of something which causes this is very well done as is the description of what occurs when this happens. Very enjoyable title in the series especially as lots of the loose ends from previous titles from this author have been put to bed.

6 out of 10 stars on this one. Decent pacing, pretty good action, nice dialogue between characters. Nice that Lyons shares the spotight with Blancaneles and Schwarz.

"Rain of Doom" puts Able Team back on the trail of the islamicists plotting to attack the USA with guided rockets. This is a sequel to the previous book, "They Came To Kill", and several characters return. But this is a much better book with more action and much better pacing. Able Team is good here and the other characters are OK. The action is well written and believable and the plot moves along briskly without ever seeming to drag. I'm holding back 2 stars only because the ending was too contrived and didn't really fit with the book and because there was nothing about this one to raise it above other good adventures. This is an 8 star effort.

I disagree with Gunslinger , I thought this book had lots of action. Not as good as #15, but another good G H Frost romp.

A very disappointing sequel to #15. It moved real slow. Just a so-so book.
