In response to a Japanese consortium's global war of attrition against the West, the United States has sent one man.
A renegade element of Japan's biggest business cartel has been responsible for a multiphase operation to shift world power to the East, with Japan at its center. Their campaigns to destabilize Europe and biologically devastate America have been derailed by Mack Bolan.
Now he's challenged the enemy to a final battle in their own backyard. Power is their dream. The Executioner is turning it into their worst nightmare.

A great conclusion to this excellent trilogy! After foiling the villains plans in Europe and America, Bolan now turns his attention to the source of the problem in Japan. The fast paced action in Japan, more in Korea, and back to Japan again is more finely crafted reading where you will be entertained for sure. While the middle book in this trilogy is the best, this final book is better than most other Bolan adventures on its own.
Some Phoenix Force members, as well as Grimaldi are here to assist Bolan and some of Grimaldi's best flying you will see in this book. The Burdick character was interesting for another Bolan ally, he reminded me much of the Ramzin character that served the same role in earlier books from Rogers. Great action all the way through, the ending scenes were intense, and a little mystery as to what really happened to one of the main villains at the end. Did he die, or escape?
The power trilogy is one of the best out there, I strongly recommend it.
Ok the third book of the trilogy and there is NO WAY Chuck Rogers can come up with anything close to the first two titles in the trilogy which are simply superb.
Well I started reading the final book of the trilogy thinking that way.
The United States having averted at the last moment the slaughter of 90% of it's population and the collapse of it's economic wealth cannot declare war on Japan as the largest corporation in Japan has hidden any information regarding "The One Heaven" who are the board members of the illegal arm of this corporation involved in the attacks in the first two books of the trilogy.
The title is well named "Vengeance Rising" as I'm thinking OK Mack is going to Japan to kick some how is this going to be good reading.
Enter Gunnery Sergeant Burdick a black market operator stealing and selling US arms.
Enter Akira Tokaido yep the computer whiz kid from Stony Man and you will be stunned as maybe half the title involves him directly.
Enter Agent Honda Mitsuko and the phone calls to from, the passing of the gun, the exposure of this global corporation.
Let's talk about basically everyone from Stony Man involved in this, let's talk about the best plot/storyline in this series for a very very long time. Let's talk about submarines, yachts,Zodiac rafts, helicopters how many times I forgot to count, let's talk about excitement,an increased heart beat,a smile coming to your face,a rapid flick of the page when you come to the end of the right side page.
This is brilliant folks and I urge any fan of these series who has not read this trilogy grab it and read it this is classic stuff.
I am stunned this title is EVEN BETTER than the first two titles in the trilogy.
Chuck Rogers if you ever read this take a bow mate you have produced one of the masterpieces of these series and I can't wait to read some more of your stuff.
I gota agree with Alice on this one. The book just wasn't as good, to me, as its predecessors. To me, this was one of those body-count books, where the action loses any real effect because it all starts to run together. Liked the first bok, loved the second, but this one just didn't do it for me. I give it a C.
I enjoyed all three books of the trilogy, but after a rather cheesy prologue, this third book became my favorite of the three. More attention seemed to be paid to details, and the characterization was rather better, IMHO, than in the preceding two books. With the exception, perhaps, of the final storm-the-castle section, the action scenes, too, were handled with more care. Finally, I enjoyed the introduction of the marine, Burick. I've not yet read any later books in the series, but I hope we see more of him.
I dont know what it is, but i like the idea of introducing new charicters, and i hope to see the new guy in the future.
I have just finished reading 'The Power Trilogy'& I thought it was a good read. If you are looking for full-on action this is your book. Was it worth the AUS$44.85 (cost of all 3 books) you betcha!
In all, a pretty good ending to the trilogy. I can't say I really thought that the assault on the mansion was the greatest closing scene, but it the book was still pretty fun to read. Definitely not as good as the first two, but of course, if you read the first two, you gotta read this one anyway.
I though the power trilogy was awsome and this was a nice bolan-like ending to it. Over all it was much better then the american trilogy because it had a better plot and well funded and a well oganized terrorist group.
Kind of a weak finale to an otherwise good trilogy. The action wasn't nearly that intense, although I still enjoyed it. The best scenes were the village shootout, and the submarine sequence.
A disappointing end to an otherwise great trilogy, as a lot of the threads that were left hanging at the end of the second book aren't resolved in a way that left me wanting to cheer the demise of the enemy. What happened to Mack's recovery time? What happened to that female assassin? You get the idea. As a stand-alone book, this reads well. As part of a trilogy, I'd forget it existed.
