Ebola. The doomsday weapon of a superconspiracy by an unknown enemy- and it's phase two of a ruthless campaign that almost brings Europe to its knees. Now the battle has moved to America. The enemy has released enough of the virus to give the U.S. a taste of this weapon's destructive power. The President has no choice but to agree to the demands of this mysterious consortium. Mack Bolan has cheated death many times, but now his foe is implacable, unstoppable and unmerciful. The Executioner has entered the hot zone... and it may be his final battle.

Here we have the middle of the trilogy, and to my surprise, is not only a major step up from the opening book, but I consider Plague Wind to be one of the finest executioner stories ever told. Chuck Rogers delivers top level adventure from beginning to end. I could tell at the start that this book was going to be on another level, and was pleased that this writing maintained that plateau to the last page. I had a hard time putting this book down, only to eat, sleep, or go to my job, otherwise I would have read it in one sitting. on its own this is a book that would make a script for a blockbuster Bolan movie. Bolan has never been in as much danger before, never faced as cunning and ruthless villains as these. All the adventure from the Uganda area in Africa to Arizona, to the wastelands of Mexico, the action is plenty and a terrifying story is weaved along the way. And who better to have at Bolan's side than one of my favorite Stony Man heroes, Gadjets from Able Team? All I can say is if you have not read this trilogy yet, you really need to give it a read, I still need to start book 3, and already this is one of the best trilogies in the series.

Okay the second book of the trilogy and I am thinking this could not possibly be as good as the first title ? Well I am wrong again and Chuck Rogers has produced a title which I think is even better than the opening book of the trilogy. The plot deepens to alarming proportions as where the first title alluded to drastic conquences for England and Europe we are now looking at the obliteration of 90% of the planets population with the release of the Ebola virus on mankind and the action shifts to the States. So many good parts of the book it would take pages of typing but may spoil it for you but one section where Mack is infected with the Ebola virus and is expected to die (this is on the inside cover so is hardly a spoiler) is just rivetting stuff. His emotions at the time ordering I think Gary or David to immediately seal the area where he is as he has been infected with the virus and to maintain a contamination area around where he is and he will shoot anyone from his team who tries to rescue him is incredible stuff. It gets better and better and the assault of the site where the crisis eminated from is truly incredible reading from the HALO jump to the donning of RACAL suits on the final assault on the biochemical lab it is simply brilliant and I know I am probably raving on a bit but it blew me away. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED reading. surely the final book could not be as good as the first two titles of the trilogy? Don't know yet as I haven't read it yet but I will let you know............

I thought the book was "Perfect"! with bio-warfare in current news. It was stupendously written, the plot was as thick as a choking bioreactor in some Iraqi factory. Great indepth foreign combat scenes, the whole story was so insidious and cunningly sinsiter, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole weekend, from the first to the last page. The weapons used in this book, I wrote down and looked them up! totally awesome us of gun weaponary. I would recommend the "The Executioner: Plague Wind "The Power Trilogy" for any "First Time Reader"! Big Fan, Great Webpage.

I enjoyed this book immensely; it's my favorite entry in this trilogy. Too often, it seems to me that body-count is placed above plot and characters in importance, and this wasn't the case with this book. The moment when Mack got infected with the virus, my heart was in my mouth--something of a feat considering that we know he'll be back in the next book. Definitely recommend this book.

This book was great. Hands down. It started with an excellent fight scene in Uganda with Mack, McCarter, and Manning. The desert fight with Bolan and Grimaldi was also fun to read. The plot is (almost)fully revealed in this one, but it still leaves you wondering a little at the end. Hopefully the trend will continue, and Vengeance Rising will be a great ending to the trilogy.

A great book! I really liked the plot of this one. It was written better than the first book. The chase in the desert with the helicopters was a superb scene.
