A suicide bombing in Egypt kills a busload of foreign tourists. The Holy Voice, an extremist faction with an agenda of open aggression, claims responsibility. Mack Bolan gets executive approval to hunt down the terrorists before more Americans die. Bolan mounts a relentless campaign against the enemy, wiping out their weapons cache and diffusing acts of escalating atrocities. A hit-and-git trek lands him face-to-face with the leader of the Holy Voice. The Executioner shows no mercy in his eternal war against the bloodthirsty dogma of madmen and power mongers.

A good start to the book to hook the reader in with the suicide bomber scene, and then Bolan’s mission in Africa begins. Starting in Sudan and moving to several cities in Egypt, Bolan tracks down the terrorist network, destroying each cell on the way. I liked how Bolan was in a lone wolf adventure here, with mild use of allies. Some cloak and dagger stuff thrown into the mix and we have a solid action story that packs a long adventure into under 220 pages. Some action scenes early on were a little hard to follow, a lack of good description of the scenes made it seem like the book was going to be a mess, but things got better as the book went along. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book much but when it was all said and done, I rather enjoyed the book as a whole. Never a dull moment in here, no filler, an action packed episode right down to the last page. It’s worth a read.

Suicide bombers attacking tourist buses in Egypt to install Islamic rule. That's the plot ? okay. Very thin on numbers though as Mack goes through them like a red hot knife through butter. Some good parts and some good action scenes but it failed to grab me. A fair read in the series.

OK. Not as much action as there is dialogue. It has a good ending though.

Very good book! I enjoyed it more than Somheil's #215 "Fire Hammer". I visited Egypt a few years ago so I recognized all the locations. I liked Bolan on his own on this one. . . My favorite scenes were the car shootout when the terrorists were trying to take out the tourist bus (the one with the convertible that gets taken out) and the scene at the tourist site where the terrorists were going to mow down the tourists with the machine guns at the tourist site (can't remember the name). Bolan rushes up the stairs (too late to save about a dozen of them) but takes out the terrorists, and saves about 30+ lives. Great scene! I found this book to be especially timely with the recent terrorist attack against tourists in Luxor last November 97.
