An assassin known as the Huntsman is plying his lethal skills across the globe. Mack Bolan has taken down the killer - twice - only to have him resurface in another part of the world. Arms deals, counterfeit currency and the eerie, centuries-old legend of the Huntsman are links in a sinister conspiracy that pits the Executioner, Able Team and Phoenix Force against something bigger and deadlier than they've ever faced. Stony Man divides its teams to hunt the elusive mastermind, delivering relentless punishment against a new evil feeding on the world.

This is more of a Stony Man trilogy than an Executioner, with AT, PF, and even Brognola getting equal time in this first book of the Arms trilogy. What made me give this book a good rating more than anything else was the way the main villain, the Huntsman was portrayed. The mystery of who he or she really was, keeping the reader interested in this unique badguy, was a refreshing spin that separates this book from most. Odom writes a decent start to the trilogy, with good character interaction and crisp action sequences throughout.

Enjoyable read. It must be hard to write the first title of a trilogy but I thought Mel Odom did a great job. The interwoven plot introduced with the first book is terrific and hopefully becomes stunning books in part 2 and 3 of the trilogy. Enough action to keep you interested and want to read the next page. I must admit I am still wondering about the prologue and it's relevance to the story. BUT with what we were given in the first book maybe Giselle Harte becomes the next Huntsman under a drugged induced state. We will see ;-) my two bobs worth........

This one has an strange start to it. A slaughter in Monte Carlo that is not mentioned again in the book. The search that Mack has for the Huntsman and to keep the felled huntman body keeps you iterested as does the involvement of Able Team (and late in the book Pheonix Force) The only thing that I could not keep up to speed on was how Thone new Brognola was going to be sent to Miami(though it is nice to see him out in field for a change) and why he was after him (I also failed to find Thone connection to the counterfit money though he mentions losses in Florida near the end of the book). Some of my questions may be answered in the next installment of this trilogy. But this one is a decent start, but only gets 7 stars due to the above stated reasons.

Excellent start to the series. This was the first exectutioner I have read that split equal time between AT/PF/and Mack. The various plots start out seemingly unconnected, but the author does a great job progressively bringing us closer to a tie-in. This is the first trilogy I have read, and I was impressed with the start.
