In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a secret group within the military is plotting to oust the Royal Family. Their next move: kidnapping the playboy prince from a desert warfare training session outside Las Vegas. While the story was generally entertaining, I had some issues with it. Like another book by this author, I felt Grimaldi was too much of a comedian. Not a whole lot of action, either. The villain's were fairly fleshed out, and the spoiled prince was done well. The chase in the end to stop a terrorist attack was also tense, but overall didn't hit the mark for me.

This was a solid entry in the Mack Bolan series. I wasn't sure I'd like it much in the beginning. There are several factions involved in the plot, all with characters whose names need to be kept strraight, and I was getting a bit confused by it all. But then, more time was spent on a couple of the factions, and that made other things fall into place. Once that was accomplished, the book was off and running. I won't say it's the best Bolan I've read, but the author kept the suspense ratcheting up till the very end, and I was satisfied with the ending. I recommend this book for those times when you're biding your time on a long train or plane ride. It'll make the time whizz by.
