Three agents end up dead and one of Stony Man Farm's own is injured after receiving covert information, sending up a red flag up in the President's office. Someone is planning to ignite hostilities between Israel and Iran by unleashing a nuclear weapon that would force the U.S. to help their ally and go into battle. With the lives of millions at stake, Stony Man's Phoenix Force flies to Yemen to track the bomb before it can launch, while Able Team hunts down the masterminds behind the deadly plot...in the United States.

If you like a SM with a bit more PF than AT then this is a must read. PF is split apart not only via mission parameters but my favorite PF character (Manning) is captured, not once but twice. Enjoyable sequences in a rare show of an individual member's physical, mental and shooting skills coming together. Manning out of the mission we are introduced to a fun character, Chaka, to round out the usual Team of 5. Linaker gets Team bantering perfectly balanced with the action which is full on in cars, helicopters and boats. Who cares that its another SM with a nuke fans read these for the characters in action saving the world!

Seemingly by-the-numbers outing still packed a great punch. I always like the plots that are taken from the headlines, and this one was no different. As a weapons broker tries to force Israel to attack Iran, the U.S. is caught in the middle. The main villain Inigo was a deeper character than the norm. This outing was mostly Phoenix, which was disappointing as they go after Inigo's minions in Africa, members get captured, then have to mount an escape. Able chased down the CIA connection, but as I said above, it was not the biggest part for the boys. The finale of McCarter and an ally holding off gunboats was very tense and explosive. Usual good stuff from Linaker, but not his most well-rounded with both teams.

A very enjoyable entry in the Stony Man entry. The two teams are tracking a mysterious contract man based in Somalia. Good action with decent drama and a good dose of humour. A little too political and a tad preachy at times for my taste but, aside from that, an almost perfect action novel. It has multiple exotic locations and a very enjoyable supporting cast of bad guys. Good ending. Very satisfying.
