The story itself if pretty basic. There is nothing too strenuous for either teams and the villains have a mundane plot to massacre Americans by taking guns to malls and opening fire. Which is fine because I don't mind not have a "destroy the world" or "nuke of the week" plot. But I have to agree with the reviews below. Somewhere the editing failed and lots of errors went uncorrected. Characters did morph into each other mid paragraph along with a host of other mistakes that pulled me out of the story. And yes, the villains were not very bright. I enjoyed the New Mexico scenes more than the action in Yemen.

I agree with the last post for the most part. It did go bland in spots and character mixups! Those are becoming part of every book. Often seeing weapon mistakes also, bad guy having trouble with the safety on his Glock, Carl feeding a fresh mag into various revolver's he uses. That said I have been reading these series for the past 21 years and have been an avid collector. Most are very entertaining but would like to see some of the small mistakes caught.

For a while, this was turning into a disappointment. James was undercover, so there wasn't going to be much action from his end. Phoenix was waiting for his call. So, most of the action came from Able. The dual story arc was well-done, though, and we had the return of arms dealer, Jack Regan. Things finally kicked into gear when Able get's a line on weapons coming into the country, Phoenix is captured and must mount an escape, and James has to rescue a captured CIA agent and make his break. While not one of Linaker's best, it still turned out to be quite enjoyable.

ugh...another bland Stony Man. One good note on this one is James undercover action.Able Teams op in New Mexico is alson good. Overall this terror plot is lame and predictable, these are some really dumb terrorists. These guys are major Al Queada rejects. Im not a fan of this author, his action is too vague. The attack on the terror camp was terribly written. Im not even sure what happend. Also at one point James turns in to Hawkins mid paragraph and tures back into James before the end of the paragraph. ohh and at one point Manning fires 9mm bullets from an AK47. (how do they miss this stuff in editing?) enough said.
