Dispatched on a high-priority search-and-rescue mission, Mack Bolan becomes a moving target in the cold heart of Siberia. I thought this was good. a bit plodding and very predictable but I loved the setting and the history behind the setting. Mike is one of my favorite bolan pen men and even his sub par efforts like this are still enjoyable and worth it.

Another inadequate Newton effort. Bolan will spend pages at a time considering every possible way he could attack an enemy, instead of actually attacking the enemy. Sheesh, I thought this series was adventure, not speculative fiction (ba dum tsh). This, among other typical Newton padding really drag the book down. This one was a real snooze fest that wouldn't even be worthy of a 190 page Executioner, let alone a 320 page SuperBolan. Life's too short for this one, friends.

This is a bit better than the usual Mike Newton. Bolan is sent to Russia to extract a Russian agent who has information on various crime rings in Moscow and doesn't know who to trust due to corruption at the highest levels. Enter Mack Bolan. What follows is a pursuit along Stalin's Road of Bones (which the author constantly reminds us of). It is good but could have been better as the pursuers are the usual 2 dimensional hoodlums. When all is said and done I did have to wonder what good the Russian agents testimony would be now that all the gangsters are dead.
