Military-grade guns are finding their way onto American streets, turning neighborhoods into warzones. And, after three officers and two civilians are killed in the crossfire of a Miami gang standoff, it's time for someone to strike back. Yet with little concrete proof to use against those supplying the illegal weapons, the police are helpless. Fortunately for them Mack Bolan doesn't need evidence. It's old-fashioned justice he's after. Going solo on his mission, Bolan soon discovers Miami is just the beginning. An arms dealer has set up operations in New York, Chicago and New Mexico. But this supplier isn't the only one wanting a slice of the American gun pie. Another more ruthless group is ready to step in and will take out anyone who gets in their way- unless the Executioner can take them down first.

Wasn't sure how this one was going to work out. It seemed like a run-of-the-mill plot with arms dealers. It worked out much better than expected. Bolan in lone-wolf mode steam-rolling over scum from Miami to Newark to Chicago...and finishing up in New Mexico. When Bolan gets to N.M., it's him and a spunky lady cop on the run in the desert, getting caught, busting out and busting heads. It all finishes in grand fashion with a showdown in the sleepy town against the Russian Mafia, who are trying to move in on the arms dealer's business. Excellent final scene with Bolan and the Mafia chief...and a couple of grenades.

Cops and civilians are being blown away on the streets by military grade weapons and investigators are at a brick wall where they know who the arms dealer is that is responsible but cannot come up with enough evidence to launch a prosecution. Enter the Big Guy with his special mode of justice and all of a sudden everything changes for the bad guys. Excellent read here if you are in to action scenes as the entire title is basically non stop action. You will enjoy as the bad guys different locations are systematically taken down and destroyed and he is helpless to figure out who or what is attacking him. Enter a Russian Mafiya boss who is eyeing off the arms dealers business and decides this is the perfect time to launch a takeover as the Big Guy has reduced most means of protecting the arms dealers holdings. The female sheriff is an excellent side kick along for the ride as is the taking down of the corrupt deputy by the Russians (brutal). Terrific read from cover to cover and highly recommended reading in the series.

The first Linaker book I read was a solid effort. There was action from beginning to end that deal with multiple nationalities of "bad guys" and many different locations of impact. The overall theme was Bolan's attempt to stop the arms dealing that was brutalizing cities throughout the U.S. The various/diverse amount of characters built a lot of suspense in the book and kept me turning pages.
