This is the second half of what might be the largest episode in the series. Starting where the story left off in book 1, Ryan and his gang are separated and headed for adventures outside the standard Deathlands of North America. A lot of aboard ship scenes mixed into two major action sequences, one at Veracruz, where electricity is still in use, and the final at the island base off Panama. Another ally joins Ryan during the events at the city, and with lots of help from his new buddies, a daring escape from his capture. More adventure on the way to the Island, and the whitecoat plot is further revealed, leading to the ending with the typical giant explosions that seem to be the theme where-ever the companions leave behind. Overall an excellent story, with Dark Resurrection maybe slightly the better of the two books making up this epic episode.
