Climate change. The illicit activities of an organized-crime family draw Mack Bolan to California. It seems a branch of this family tree extends to a small town in Oregon where the Mob's influence runs deep. Following the bloody trail, Bolan takes his war across the state line. Profits from prostitution drugs and numbers rackets are being funneled to a radical ecoterrorist group more than willing to strike out against anything- and anyone- standing in its way. Faced with mounting casualties, the Executioner will have to use his own methods to clean up the environment.

Well this is a Mafia related title so it has a lot going for it right from the start. As has been mentioned when reading this you will feel thrown back in time like you are reading one of the titles from the eighties where it was just the Big Guy doing his solo act against the Bad Guys with almost no back up from Stony Man Farm. Some very good characters introduced with the two FBI agents standouts but also the Irish Mafia boss and the leader of the tree hugging greenie eco terrorists were fine reading add in a couple of guest spots by younger brother Johnny tops it off nicely. The title has it all infiltration of hard sites a specialty, going undercover, investigation even the psychology of picking fights etc. add in some fine action scenes and you have a fine title to read. Many times fans of these series have complained about covers showing the Big Guy's eye color wrong, not here check out the cover the piercing cold icy blue eyes are superb. Highly recommended read here.

This book was pretty cool. It was nice to see Bolan working a bit further from the Farm's influence. It was also cool to have take down some nasty Mafia guys again. My only real complaint was that some of the subplots seemed superfluous and the ending was a bit rushed. This seems to be a problem with these recent books, and I think it has to do with the editing. Still, all in all, this was a fun read.

A throwback to the days of old, Lone Wolf style with Brother John in the background. Bolan undercover looking to take down some local baddies and some Eco Terrorists, some good characters, some good action, annoying side kick, fairly decent book !

Had the feel of one of the Mafia books from the mid-1980's, as Mack starts off with blowing away a bad guy with a sniper rifle. Then he gets to the town that is infested with an eco-terrorist group and an Irish mobster. Guenther's work here is top notch. Mack is doing this one in lone-wolf mode, like the good old days. There's a spunky gal fed that helps Bolan along the way, the slimy crooked FBI guy, and many ambushes and shootouts. Even the tracker, Clint, who assists Bolan in the final assault was notable. And the closing lines of the book was vintage Executioner.

Siskiyou County, CA is the most unlikely setting of a mafia story. Bolan goes undercover to investigate an attack of a nearby air force base and also destroy a local mobster. He does the standard tricks, and improvises when the situation becomes unstable. Bolan's planning is not infallible here, and often he needs to come up with another plan the next chapter when an enemy or an ally dies. Usual stuff, only in the framework of a good, overall story and better rounded characters.

Another exciting entry by Guenther. I liked how Bolan was NOT doing this mission for Stony Man this time around. I also liked how he got some help from from his brother John. I havent seen him yet since Ive started reading the series. The action scenes and charceter development were very well done, the usual from Guenther. I liked the methods Bolan used to shake down the crime family, just like the original books. Overall, a great entry with fantastic action scenes and good minor characters.

This was a better Bolan than I have seen in a while. Its just about time that Mack gets back to blitz. He saves people he infiltrates and he does his thing. The executioner thing for a change. The last few bolans have been less than exciting. Thanks
