Evil Empire. The head of the far-reaching Suvarov crime family is behind bars awaiting trial in the U.S., but the murder of witnesses willing to testify is becoming a nightmare for the Feds. Mack Bolan is tasked with hunting the worst of the worst: those who treat the law like a minor nuisance while turning blood profits from humanity's defenseless innocents. Currently pulling the strings of this powerful mafiya family is the heir apparent, Valentina Suvarov, a woman whose ruthlessness knows no limits, who will kill as easily as she breathes. From New York to Miami to Moscow, Bolan begins a strategic assault on an organization that seems impervious to normal law-enforcement agencies. But these purveyors of flesh and misery never counted on the experience, or the will, of someone like the Executioner.

Mafia story so it is likely to be good right from the start and so it is where a Russian Crime Family are featured as the bad guys. Unfortunately I would have to agree with the previous reviews apart from the fine action scenes introduced the title really falls flat apart from a good ending. Read far better stuff from this author up to you.

A portrait of a Russian mob family who likes to bump off federal witnesses, this novel rarely strayed from a very thin plot burdened with groaning coincidences. Does every Russian know each other? And well-worn clichés: a mafia princess coming into power. The author has the action scenes down pat. With each novel I read of his, the more I appreciate his prose and economy of writing. As for the story? About mid-way through, I thought I knew all the steps, but he surprised me two steps from the ends. The conclusion contained a couple of surprises that notched this up from mediocrity.

Linaker hits the bullseye yet again with this mafia book. It had an old-fashioned flair to it as Bolan destroys a Russian mob operation. The action scenes, as always were fast-paced, and the villainess was noteworthy for her callousness. The final battle at the island fortress solidified this great entry.

I usually steer clear of the Super Bolans ( having had a bad experience or two ) but I have to say I found this one quite impressive, it shows what you can do with the extra hundred or so pages . It didn't feel like it was just dragged out extra long, it just got a little more in depth into the Villains and characters. None of them were outstanding - but - it was a great cast of Characters overall. The female sidekick was written pretty well, she wasn't super hopeless or a total ass-kicker, she seemed like a real person . Also its just a good old fashioned Bolan vs the Mafia book, sometimes I tire of the World domination schemes , it was a refreshing book, and it had some great action of course !! Eh Kay says check it out !!
