The action smacks of black ops, but Mack Bolan is to deal himself into the game at Stony Man's bidding, riding shotgun with Cobra Force Twelve on a mission to round up the worst of the worst, from Africa through the Middle East. It is a quick and dirty sweep of the most wanted of global terror. But Bolan's gut tells him something is wrong from the start, and that Colonel Ben Collins and his force of hardcases are into more than American justice- something that smells like blood and betrayal. Playing it out long enough to separate the truth from the lies, the Stony warrior wades through the slaughter zones, hunting the enemy and watching his back. If some or all of Cobra Force turn out to be vicious, merciless predators hiding behind the Stars and Stripes, they'll learn the sword of justice cuts both ways.

Have to admit the covert Black Ops CIA stuff has been pretty much flogged to death but occasionally an author writes yet another title which is based on this storyline which is actually quite a good read. Unfortunately not with this title. Same old crap all of the covert Black Ops characters have cute little nick names this is important as you know immediately that they are dirty and have a hidden agenda which will be revealed later on in the title. MASSIVE OVERKILL !! Bolan joins this force which includes attack helicopter gunships and an armada of Jet fighters with which to rain down death and destruction to the target and they do again and again and again. Is there a plot? If there was I missed it. Very ordinary title folks which does nothing until the end section where the dirty CIA guys hidden agenda is revealed and the Big Guy takes care of business. Two stars added for the ending read it if you have to.

Uh, ahh , i liked the first few chapters , and the young Somali warrior with a conscience was real interesting start , but then it went down hill fast. The first moment we see Bolan with these Cobra dudes , he knows they are bad. Then they trapse around blasting terrorists for another 250 pages ... Bolan - "Hmm I think these guys are bad , but I'll stick with them". And I had no idea what their plot was - kidknap and deliver these terrorist Leaders to Iran so Russians can sell them WMD's and then .... huh ? What was the Iranians plot ? ? Do I care anymore ? I did give it five stars for some good action, with a great beggining and pretty decent end , but the middle seemed like a lot of filler. Eh Kay would say skip this one for now ! PS We had Cobra Commander , but where was Destro and Serpentor ?

I suppose I'm the wrong person to be the first to review this book, as I'm not the biggest fan of Dan Schmidt's work in the various Bolan series. I did like "Point of IMpact" quite a bit, but for the most part I find his work in the series to be uninspired and lackluster. This SuperBolan is no exception. I felt more like I was reading a novelization of someone's trek through the levels of a videogame than actually reading a suspense novel. The main trouble was ... there was no real suspense. There were some reasonably well-written action scenes, but even these began to run together for me about halfway through the book. Still, I've read many worse books in the adventures of Mack Bolan.
