When not called to provide crucial assistance to its elite commandos on the ground in real-time battle, America's ultra-covert counterterrorist cyber warriors maintain a constant vigil against new global threats. Now, the West's worst nightmare is at hand: a weapon of bio-terror controlled by criminal masterminds ready to unleash raw and unbridled terror. Spreading like wildfire through American targets in Europe, a lethal virus has now reached a U.S. Navy battleship. Unless the Stony warriors can stop it, the vessel will be nuked. But the crisis facing Stony Man escalates by the second, as ground and cyber crew race to find the source ... a trail that leads to the Balkans, to old-world butchers backed by power, money and enough madness to unleash hell on earth.

And again I am swimming against the tide. I really liked this one. The fact that the teams, including Bolan, went on a joint mission through Europe was enjoyable, the only downside was that some characters were barely given any page time. That the teams had to really search for clues and information by investigation and small scale gun battles was also interesting. We also are not introduced to the villain until well past page 100, leaving this reader wondering who was behind it all. So I thought this was a good adventure and well worth reading. After the last Executioner I read this was like a breath of fresh air and I breezed thou it in 3 days. I agree that Bolan should not have shot the dirty cops, and yes, the warship story line fizzled when it could have been more interesting. The villain could have also been a little less generic. There is an inaccuracy on page 58 "But several of them from EU member nations were protesting being sent back...demanded to be allowed to remain in Europe as free workers." If a person is an EU citizen then there is nowhere to deport them to with in the EU. They are always free workers. That is how the EU works. The freedom to live and work in any EU country. The entire paragraph on page 58 is inaccurate.

Same mediocre outing from Kasner. I thought the "Outbreak" would encompass more with the ship, but that's a minor quibble. I didn't have a problem with the team all together for the most part. But, we have the usual from this writer...small gun-battles that are over in a heartbeat throughout the book. I did feel like the multi-faceted final battle livened things up a bit, but not enough to save this one from middle-of-the-road status.

Well I could say ditto to the last review of this title as I also normally love titles by this author but not here folks. Not to say that there are not some good sections within to read but unfortunately they are few and far between. I also was looking forward in the Geopulse section which after it took so long to read what was going to happen and what a fizzer it turned into. Much better stuff in these series than this indeed once again many by this author himself.

I like Kasner's books but really hated this one. It was written like a 220 page novel expanded into 350 pages. Chuck Rogers wrote a fantastic 3 novel trilogy with ebola as the terorist weapon and that worked very well. Here 350 pages and it just seemed so dragged out. I liked the novel at the beginning. I liked how Mack and AT went to France and PF went to Germany. The scenes worked. I liked especially how McCarter verbally threatened a Serbian miniboss. Yes the boss was in the scheme of things harmless - a criminal family but easily set on the right and narrow. The novel fell apart when PF, AT and Mack joined forces. Ok the attack on the drug warehouse was fine but the killing of the cops highly questionable. Mack goes out of his way not to kill cops yet he had no problem this novel. Yes they were sexually assaulting an innocent female but a little line like how these cops crossed the line would have been nice. When the gang went to the Transylvanian castle the novel flopped badly. Lets see eradicate smallpox or protect a castle? UN chose protect the castle. In reallife no one could possibly be this stupid. The UN fouls up a lot but you would think they would not be this stupid. Plus are not usually this effective. Also since when do we lisien to 100 percent of their rulings. Nuke the castle was the only guarenteed option. You cannot let smallpox spread. The use of the Geopulse weapon by Stonyman cyberteam seemed more like a way to stretch the novel then anything else. Kasner should have written this as 220 page novel.
